My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:3
Throughout the Bible, mystery buffs will notice a protagonist and antagonist. They will notice some information is clear and factual, while other information is given in clues, parables, metaphors, similes, and coded language. While the truth and solution is right before our eyes, it takes focus and intention to uncover that truth and practice it our daily lives. The joy for those of us who love to solve mysteries, is that there are always new clues and truths to uncover throughout life. We can discover who and why, and see it how fits together, but the complete resolution is always one episode away. We must keep watching, waiting and investigating more clues. The funny thing is, we already know the end, the final solution, but we just don’t know when. We must stay tuned in and continue looking for all those hidden treasures in Christ to be discovered daily.
Lord, I love a good mystery. Throughout my life, I thought I had it all figured out. I was sure I had uncovered all the clues, only to find another and another until I realized, You would never stop giving more clues, more hidden treasures, more secrets of the kingdom! The idea of uncovering clues makes the adventure of being a part of Your kingdom more fun! Open our eyes to see the treasures before us and to embrace the personal clues, twists and turns, knowing they always lead us to You and the final episode in heaven!
